English: Stile on a Footpath Leading to the Caldon Canal This footpath leads over boggy and uneven ground, from the main road to the bridges over the disused railway and the Caldon Canal, visible in the distance above the stile. Since there is no fence to the left, the stile is even less used than it would be if many people ever came this way. Other stiles on the way were overgrown and the path itself was invisible, implying that this route is little used. |
