Description
English: From the gentry of last week to the Rocks this week with an O'Dea shot of the "Stone Plant, Lisduff, Co. Laois". Those were the days when the railway would put in a spur line for a specific product! Given O'Dea's propensity for recording the closing of railway features would this have been the case here?

And indeed, this halt/location has been confirmed by B-59 and dated by abandoned railways. It was closed within a couple of years of O'Dea's visit.

(I wonder, as a rail worker, if you'd've been worried to see O'Dea coming. His documentation of these closing stations/lines/etc almost makes him the Jessica Fletcher of the railroads. In that he was always there for the tragedy - though his role was a benign/beneficial one...)
