English: Stony Field near Minterne Magna This field is so covered in stones that very little earth is visible. The stones are mainly flints arising from the underlying chalk which form a large escarpment that runs across Dorset. The nearby hills of High Stoy and Dogbury are two of the highest points on the escarpment giving splendid views North and east over the Blackmoor Vale. |
