Quelli delcoro presentano i modi peculiari e proprii de Romani,come si può vedere dal confronto loro coi mosaici diSanta Maria in Trastevere e di San Clemente a Roma,che sono come lultima manifestazione di quella scuolache, fondata sullantico, fiori per più secoli in Roma.La divisione dello spazio fatta a diagonali, con in mezzocerchi concentrici e con quella decorazione, ricorda !epitture deprimi secoli nelle Catacombe, ma di un pregioassai inferiore, perchè di quelle non hanno né la legge-rezza nè la eleganza. Cosi gli otto Profeti del centro ci efanno corteggio allAgnello, e meglio ancora forse alcuni diquelli che in una delle fascie degli archi fiancheggiano :d Vedi Richa, Chiese fiorentine, voi. XVIT, dove sono anche registritii nomi degli artisti che via via vi operarono i restauri.
