no destra tiene il lungobordone da pellegrino che posa sul gradino ed è appog-giato alta spalla destra : ha laltra mano aperta ed abbas-sata. E a capo scoperto poiché il cappello a larghe faldegli pende dietro le spalle. A tergo e presso a lui vedesidi profilo una pellegrina genuflessa sul gradino infe-riore, con le braccia e le mani conserte al seno, e conun fazzoletto in capo accomodato sui capelli, chele co-pre le spalle e il seno. Lampio cappello da pellegrinale pende parimente dietro le spalle. * < Queste due figure sono indicate come i ritratti di Gerolamo Ria-rio e di Caterina Sforza, sua moglie; mail Reggiani (op. cit., pagg. 46-49) ne dubita; tuttavia nellimportante opera del conte Pier DesiderioPasolini su Caterina Sforza (Roma, Ermanno Loescher, ISOy), nel vo-lume II, cap. MARCO PALMEZZANI 321 Dietro ai due pellegrini stanno di fronte quattropersonaggi ritti in piedi in atteggiamenti diversi, ilprimo dei quali è un giovane di lineamenti piacenticon berretta in capo, con folti e ricciuti capelli che gliscendono in due grandi masse fino alle spalle. È al-quanto curvo con la persona verso la pellegrina, elicnela mano del braccio sinistro piegato per accennarle lav-venuto miracolo. * Il secondo è un giovane con folti e co-piosi capelli discriminati nel mezzo, che gli cadonoricciuti intorno alla faccia e al collo sulle spalle. Eglipure coir indice della mano sinistra accenna ai galli re-suscitati, mentre ha laltra mano abbassata ed aperta.Il terzo, in parte nascosto da quest ultimo, è rivolto aguardare il miracolo, ed ha la mano del braccio destropiegato sul fianco.
