Description
Deutsch: Das Grundstück Alt-Wittenau 38 umfasst den Gebäudekomplex 38–38v[1] und war das Gehöft des ehemaligen Lehnschulzen Rosentreter.[2] Auf Grund der Lage im Dorfensemble am Wittenauer Anger[3] gegenüber der alten Dorfkirche wurden zwischen 1970 und den 1990er Jahre die Gebäude denkmalgeschützt zu 46 Mietwohnungen entwickelt. Dabei wurde ein Krausebrunnen als Schmuckelement an der Erholungsfläche im Hof des Gebäudekomplexes aufgestellt, wie er zu Zeiten des Bauernhofes gestanden haben könnte. Obwohl unter dem Austrittsrohr das Kleinpflaster eine Mulde bildet ist der Brunnen funktionslos. Der Schwengel lässt sich nicht heben und ein Schacht zum Grundwasser fehlt ebenfalls. Am Brunnenfuß markiert die Jahreszahl „1978“ und „Berlin“ im Guss die Zugehörigkeit des Brunnenkörpers zu den in den 1970er Jahren rekonstruierten 1920er Exemplaren aus der Eisengießerei Krause in Neusalz/Oder.
