Shows railyard and inland side of Mississippi River port facilities, formerly along the riverfront in Uptown New Orleans between Louisiana Avenue and Napoleon Avenue. The Stuyvesant Docks opened in November of 1896, then considered some of the most modern in the world, and burned in a disasterous fire in February of 1905. |
