| Description |
English: Sudbury (1st) railway station (site), Suffolk Opened in 1849 by the Eastern Union Railway as the terminus of its line from Marks Tey, this station closed to passengers in 1865 when a new through station was opened on the extended line to Cambridge and Bury St Edmunds. This site continued to handle railway goods traffic into the 1960s. View south east from Great Eastern Road, looking end-on at the end of the line. A platform was to the right of it with a small station building. The site has long-since been redeveloped. |
