| Description |
English: Summit of Cairnsmore of Fleet (711 metres) Situated just north of the Solway Firth and with an airfield nearby used to train pilots during WWII sadly many aircraft crashed on this hill and there is a memorial on the summit. Elsewhere are the remains of lead mines.
It is a 'Graham' with superb views on a clear day but alas not on the day this photo was taken! |
