English: Sunk Island Sands, Sunk Island, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. Edge of the saltmarsh south of the Crown Estate Monument. Looking east-northeast towards Patrington Channel along the tiny bit of land in grid square TA3217 which is sometimes (but not always) visible above high water on the north bank of the River Humber. The section of the old outer bank just north of here which is still marked on the O/S 1:25000 scale map has almost all been washed away. |
