Description

The Lotus Temple or Bahai House of Worship, New Delhi, was designed by Mr. Fariborz Sahba, a Canadian Architect of Iranian Origin. This unique and charming building as the name indicates, designed like a lotus flower with three layers of nine petals. The RC structure is covered in pure white marble. There are nine Arched entrances and nine reflecting pools. From the airplane flying over it, this is an unforgettable sight, especially at sunrise and sunset. In my view, this is more beautiful than the Sydney Opera House. Those not lucky enough to enjoy this magnificent view from the air, a visit would do. More on this gem of a temple here
