Description An evaluation model of the Vickers Supermarine 510 (VV106) landing on the aircraft carrier HMS Illustrious (R87), November 1950. The Supermarine 510 performed the first carrier landing of a swept wing aircraft, making twelve landings and take offs. The 510 was developped from the Supermarine Attacker and later went on to form the basis of the Swift used by the Royal Air Force.
