English: An Island Darter, is a species of dragonfly in the family Libellulidae.
Español: La Sympetrum nigrifemur es sin duda una de las libélulas mas especiales con las que contamos. Es especial porque se trata de un endemismo macaronésico, su distribución se reduce exclusivamente a las islas de Gran Canaria, Tenerife y Madeira, por lo que se trata de una especie única, una joya de la Naturaleza que tenemos la suerte de contar en nuestra isla.
