Deutsch: Vorderseite: Viergespann (quadriga) mit Wagenlenker im Schritt nach r., oben fliegt Nike das Gespann bekränzend nach r. Im Abschnitt ein Löwe nach r.

Rückseite: ΣV-RΑΚ-ΟΣΙ-OΝ [R statt P]. Kopf der Arethusa mit Lorbeerkranz und Ohrring nach r. umgeben von vier Delphinen und Strichkreis.

Kommentar: Die Münze zeigt auf Vorder- und Rückseite dieselben Typen wie das erste Dekadrachmon von Syrakus, das sogenannte Demareteion. Boehringer (1929) datierte das Dekadrachmon und die etwa gleichzeitigen Tetradrachmen in das Jahr 480/479 v. Chr., heute geht man von einer etwas späteren Datierung in die 460er Jahre aus.
