English:
School building. Built to Catholic elementary and civil boys' school, Neobaroque style, elementary school part (north part) completed in 1930. Planned by local architect Antal Kövecs. Replaced the former 'Catholic Folk School' building. Because finance issue the south part, the civil boys' school completed in 1933. Toward Iskola Street extended with a sizeable wing (2nd half (end?) of the 20th cent.). In the 2010s here was the Saint Stephen Ecclesiastical Primary and Secondary School‎, in 2020 renamed to Szignum (Signum ?) Bilingual Ecclesiastical Primary School. The Catholic part of the town, which was resettled in the 17th century, was located around the parish church (now Szent István Square) and was used as a cemetery. - 14-16 Szent István Square, Iskola Street, Buják neighborhood, Makó, Csongrád-Csanád County, Hungary.

Iskolaépület. 2023-ban a neve: Szignum Kéttannyelvű Egyházi Általános Iskola. OM azonosító szám:029757. 2023-ban (2020 óta) van Szignum Kéttannyelvű Egyházi Általános Iskola Telephelye - Boldogasszony Forrása szálláshely (Szent István tér 22/b) 2010-es években Szent István Egyházi Általános Iskola és Gimnázium. Eredetileg katolikus elemi és polgári fiúiskola Makó egyik legszebb neobarokk alkotása, 1930-ban épült fel. Az épület helyén korábban is katolikus népiskola állt, amely az 1920-as évekre annyira elavult, hogy az egyháztanács 1927-ben új elemi- és polgári fiúiskola építéséről határozott. A terveket és a költségvetést Kövecs Antal, makói építész készítette el. Először az elemi iskolát építették meg a plébániatemplom felől. A második ütem alatt felépült iskolarész csak 1933-ra fejeződött be. Info: Makó Településképi Arculati Kézikönyve 1948-ban a Klebelsberg Kunó nevét viselő Szent István téri katolikus iskolát államosították. 1959-ben az akkor Makói Állami iskolát az elhunyt helyi kommunista politikusról, Farkas Imréről nevezték el. 1976-ban pedig beolvasztották a Kun Béla Általános Iskolába ami név 1991-ig megmaradt. Az országban az elsők között – 1991 szeptemberében – nyitotta meg kapuit a makói katolikus iskola Info: sulinet.hu Felülvilágítós bejáratai felett egyik helyen 1933 másik helyen 1928 stukkó építési évszám. 2023-ben még mindig a korábbi intézmény(ek) névtáblája volt kinnt ' Szent István Egyházi Általános Iskola és Gimnázium Szent Gellért Diákotthon'. Boldogasszony Iskolanővérek Magyar Tartománya névtábla, Homlokzati emléktáblák: ' "Istennel, Egyházzal a Hazáért" Ezen a téren hirdette 1948 május 23-án Mindszenty József 1892 – 1975 Magyarország hercegprímása ' ÉS ' A katolikus fiúiskola megalakulásának 70. évfordulójára Klebelsberg Kuno emlékére állította az egyházközség. 1997 ' Az 'elődiskoláról': A tervek elkészítésére a szegedi Nepper József építőmestert bízzák meg. 1807. június 7-én írták alá a szerződést melyben Panyor Mihály téglaégető mestertől 120 ezer téglát rendeltek. 1811 őszén a belvárosi iskolában három osztályban megkezdődhetett a tanítás. 1920-ban a Kálvária és Kürt utca sarkán új iskolát kezdett építeni az katolikus egyház Info: sulinet - Csongrád-Csanád megye, Makó, Buják városrész, Szent István tér 14-16., Iskola utca.
