Streetside barred window - One storey nine axis Baroque building with a middle avant corps. Arched gate with two mask face relief decorated pillars. Above the gate a balcony with wrought iron railing. Above the balcony door are two children sculptures and a stone vase. The wawed gable decorated with Hatvany family CoA relief. On the gable are to stone vases. Neo-Baroque grills for the groundfloor windows made in the Jungfer Workshops - History: In the 13th century was a part of a Royal building complex. A record from 1310 mentioned as Kammerhof (probably used as a Royal Mint or the first Buda Royal Palace?) In around 1700, owned (the building on this plot) by Bernardo Feretti Italian stonecarver and sculptor. Since 1743 owned by Count György (George) Endrődy. In between 1750 and 1769 a new nobility residence, a 'city palace' built to the count, architect Máté Nepauer. Since 1912 owned by Baron József Hatvany sugar factory owner. In 1913, based on plans of architect József Behr, significantly remodelled (basicly its main façade remained unchanged). After World War II used as school building. Between 1968 and 1976 archaeological research was carried out under the leadership of Katalin H. Gyürky. An auditorium built under the courtyard. Remodelled/renovated based on plans of architect Aurél Budai. - Former Endrődy, later Hatvany-Deutsch family residence. Now, Research Centre founded by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Museum of Music History (piano workhop, violin workshop, László Lajtha Memorial Room, Fine Art and Applied Art collection paintings, sculptures, drawings, musical medals and badges..., photo collection) AND the Bartók Archives, that is an Institute of Musicology of the Research Centre for the Humanities of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (Est. 1961), montly (sometimes weekly) concerts - This building was a participiant of the 'Budapest 100 2022' event - Part of the Budapest World Heritage protected architectural ensembles - 7 Táncsics Mihály Street, Várnegyed neighborhood, District I of Budapest.

Utcai ablak. - Barokk, 1750-1769-ben épült középrizalitos, egyemeletes egykori nemesi rezidencia. Nepauer Máté tervei alapján gróf Erdődy György országbírónak épült. Az utcai földszinti ablakok rácsai Jungfer Gyula műhelyében készültek. Az utcai homlokzaton van Báró Hatvany-Deutsch család domborműves címere. Az udvari homlokzaton van az Erdődy család domborműves címere (?) A konferenciaterem/Haydn terem falán látható a Cantata Profana c. fa dombormű /Avatás kb. 2000, Avatás kb. 20. század, Szervátiusz Jenő alkotás, leírás: jobb oldalt az immár szarvassá változott kilenc fiú, bal oldalán, de az íját leeresztő "öreg apó" látható/ - A múzeum kertjében van a Mikrokozmosz c. absztrakt üveg plasztika (Felállítás 1996, Lugossy Mária alkotás, leírása: süttői mészkőbe ágyazott, három üveglencse,) /megj. Bartók egyik alkotása a Mikrokozmosz című 6 kötetes 153 drabos zongoramű/ - A telek a 14. században még minden bizonnyal a szomszédos, tőle északra - a mai 9-11. számú teleknek megfelelő helyen - állott királyi tulajdonú épületegyütteshez, a Kammerhofhoz, másként Magna Curia Regishez tartozott. 1700 körül az itt állt épület tuladonosa Bernardo Feretti olasz kőfaragó és szobrász volt. 1743-ban gróf Erdődy György 'megszerezte'(?), elbontatta, majd, 1750 1769 között új, reprezentatív városi palotát emeltetett. 1912-ben báró Hatvany József, a híres cukorgyáros lett a tulajdonosa, aki 1913-ban Behr József tervei szerint átépíttették, s jószerével csak a főhomlokzata maradt változatlan (más forrás szertint "csak" a belsejét, a zárt udvarát és a Dunára néző szárnyát, vagyis az egész utcai szárny! maradt nemcsak a homlokzat). 1945 után iskola volt. 1968 után Budai Aurél tervei nyomán átépítették. 1968 és 1976 között H. Gyürky Katalin vezetésével régészeti kutatások történtek. Volt Erdődy-palota, volt Hatvany-palota, iskola, majd hiv név MTA BTK (Bölcsészettudományi Kutatóközpont) Zenetudományi Intézet - Bartók terem és Zenetörténeti Múzeum. - Budapest Zenetörténeti Múzeum. Magyar Tudományos Akadémia Zenetudományi Intézet, Bartók Archívum /1984-ben az Országház utca 9.-ből költözött ide ide/ és a Dohnányi Ernő Archívum (info: budavar.btk.mta.hu). - 'Budapest100 2022' rendezvény egyik zárt háza[1] - Műemléki azonosító: 157, törzsszám 15066). - Budapest műemléki jelentőségű területe az ún. Világörökség része. Műemléki azonosító: 217, törzsszám: 15001 - Budapest, Várkerület, Várnegyed városrész, Polgárváros, Táncsics Mihály utca 7 szám helyrajzi szám: 6545
