The Valley Forge was on a world cruise from 9 October 1947 to 11 June 1948 with Carrier Air Group Eleven (CVAG-11) embarked. The TBM with the white belly on the right is a TBM-3W early warning plane. To the left of it (in the center of the photograph) sits a Grumman F8F-1 Bearcat. |
