Description
English: The sketch depicts the working principle of time domain near infrared spectroscopy: a short light pulse is injected into a diffusive and absorbing medium, propagates and is then recovered at the output after experiencing attenuation, temporal broadening and delay.
Italiano: Lo schizzo illustra il principio di funzionamento della spettroscopia nel dominio del tempo nel vicino infrarosso: un breve impulso di luce viene iniettato in un mezzo diffusivo e assorbente, si propaga e viene poi recuperato all'uscita dopo aver subito attenuazione, allargamento temporale e ritardo.
