Summary edit

Description

"The National Library of Scotland is the world's leading centre for the study of Scotland and the Scots. We are a major European research library, with collections of world-class importance".

The above description of the library comes from their website and I have to admit that it is easy to walk past without a clue as to the treasures that must lie behind the grained walls of the library. The current exhibition concerns John Buchan's great novel: The Thirty-nine Steps, published a century ago. No time today to visit but its now added to my ever expanding file of possibilities... got till the end of November to get back to old Edinburgh to have a look.
