Title
English: Taggart Motor Co. and Georgetown City Hall, Seattle, 1925
Description
English:

Before it was annexed to Seattle in 1910, Georgetown was a separate city connected to Seattle by streetcar. By the mid-1920s, Georgetown was just a short drive away in the family automobile. This 1925 photo shows evidence of both the old and the new transportation. Taggart Motor Company, the Ford dealership, sits on Stanley Avenue near the streetcar tracks. The old Georgetown city hall with its pointed clock tower is in the right background.

Signs in image: Lincoln Ford Fordson - Taggart Motor Co. Malmo Nurseries. City Hall. Public Library. Handwritten on sleeve: Georgetown City Views.
