Description
English: Tamarindus indica. Common names: Tamarind. Asam Jawa. Native to tropical Africa. Traditionally the leaves are used to treat sores, wounds, boils, fevers and rheumatism. The bark, boiled in water, is taken for asthma, jaundice and stomach disorders. A fruit poultice is used to relieve fevers.
