English: World War I-era postcard shows naval recruits during target practice at the Wissahickon Barracks in Cape May, New Jersey. Since its opening in the summer of 1917, 8,909 men trained at the Wissahickon Barracks, the largest recorded number of naval trainees in the Fourth District.
