DescriptionTarnak farms incident memorial 3.jpg |
English: Memorial service for four Canadian soldiers killed by an American F16 fighter pilot in the w:Tarnak Farms incident. Although the original US caption to this photo refers to the deaths being due to a "training accident" the pilot of the US fighter that attacked the Canadians disobeyed a direct order, claiming he was "exercising his inherent right to self-defense". He was on a regular patrol. He would later claim that the USAF routinely hopped up pilots on "go pills" -- amphetamines.
