Taroom's Steel Wings windmill

Summary edit

Description
English: A Steel Wings windmill in Taroom, Queensland. According to signage, the windmill was donated to the Taroom and District Historical Society by the Bell family of "Kinnoul" station, where it had once supplied water from Kinnoul Creek to the "Kinnoul" homestead, until its timber foundations were destroyed by fire causing it to collapse. The windmill was restored in 2003 by Taroom Shire Council. The windmill is believed to be only one of two working examples of a Steel Wings windmill in Australia.
