Summary edit
DescriptionTattershall Castle - geograph.org.uk - 1208503.jpg |
English: Tattershall Castle This former Humber ferry vessel has operated as a bar from this permanent mooring just above Hungerford Bridge since 1982 - although she first arrived on the Thames in 1975 as an art gallery. She is one of three sister ships - all of which have survived - built in 1934 at Hartlepool for the LNER to work between Hull and New Holland. They gave some 39 years service on the route before the ferry service was superseded by the new Humber Bridge. Today, she is one of London's more unusual, and popular, pubs. |
