Summary edit

Description
English: This is a unique high-speed composite photograph showing how a television frame is transmitted and displayed on a CRT TV. The TV's electron beam travels from the top left corner of the screen across, and down to the next horizontal scanline in a zig-zag pattern. As the beam hits the glass screen on the front of the TV, the phosphors glow producing color. You can see how the phosphors retain their color for a short period of time while new scanlines are received and displayed. This entire sequence takes only 1/30 of a second (assuming 30 fps, the NTSC standard) and repeats so rapidly, that the image appears as a fluid motion to the human brain and eyes.
