Description
English: The steps of the terrasse des Feuillants (=terrace of Feuillants) in Paris 1st arr. During the the insurrection of the 10th of August 1792, the royal family rushed up these steps in order to take refuge in the National Assembly which seated in the salle du Manège, built on the terrasse des Feuillants (now destroyed). There were teir last minutes of freedom.
Français : Les marches de la terrasse des Feuillants. Le 10 août 1792, lors de la prise des Tuileries, la famille royale a monté ces marches au pas de course pour se réfugier à l'Assemblée Nationale qui se trouvait dans la salle du Manège, alors installée sur la terrasse des Feuillants. Ce furent leurs dernières minutes de liberté
