Description
English: Directoire-style design in white on raspberry-colored satin ground shows various archeological and natural objects in rectangular compartments of varying sizes outlined by bands of laurel leaves and berries, in a symmetrical layout. Pattern includes an altar flanked by tall vases of flowers and wheat, quiver with arrows on horizontal bow and flanked by cornflowers, urn in wreath of laurel, chinoiserie pagoda and palms; and in smaller framing compartments, butterflies, bird and nest, winged serpents drinking from fountain, and fruit garland. Pale pink and green striped satin selvages.
