Description
English: Thaddeus Stevens High School on the NRHP since June 30, 1983. On West Chestnut and Charlotte Streets in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in the Chestnut Hill neighborhood. Used as a school about 1907 into the 1950s. Now Condos. Across the street from the Mansion "West Lawn" also on the NRHP. Lancaster was the hometown of Stevens, congressman during the Civil War, and abolitionist. See also Thad Stevens HS door.JPG for a springtime photo.
