| Description | On my way to the Pak Ou Tham Ting lower cave, I had noticed the same trio of pachyderms go up that mud road you see at the far end and disappear behind the bushes. Since then, I had spent nearly an hour in the Pak Ou caves. On my return to the boat, when I took this picture, the pachyderms, apparently on a fresh ride, skipped the path altogether and walked on ahead. Thank goodness I had my 70-300 lens on hand- these animals are quite some distance away, at the far end on the opposite bank of the mighty Mekong. (Luang Prabang, Laos/ Lao PDR, April 2014) |
