| Description |
English: The Aberystwyth Cliff Railway This funicular is unusual in several respects. The cars look almost 'home made', certainly they are like no others I have seen. The gauge is extraordinarily wide at 6 ft., and the track does not have a constant gradient, (this feature is unusual for British lines only but is very common in Switzerland, Austria, Italy etc.). The cars even have a somewhat superfluous destination indicator! |
