| Description |
English: The Annesley Mansions, Main Street This was the site of the castle which gave the town its name and which was demolished by the Annesleys in 1835 in order to build the Annesley Arms Hotel. The mansions now form the Newcastle Centre. The buildings in the days when they were parts of a hotel may be seen on the following link.
