English: The Beehive pub, Prospect Hill, Swindon A popular and quirky little pub on a flatiron site halfway up the hill to Old Town. For a while before the Berlin Wall came down it had a resident poet who was a refugee from Czechoslovakia. As long as he was in employment in his capacity as poet he could avoid being repatriated. |
