The cordial reception given to the revised and improvedRoss Portable Chair proves the need for a reliable chair ofits general character. Perhaps the improvements intro-duced have something to do with it. First of these is thehaving the Chair made in our own shop, thusinsuring the quality of materials and workman-ship. The childs seat has beenomitted as unnecessary, andseveral minor devicesfor assuring rigidityhave been added.

A light, strong, convenient Operating Chair, designed especially for travel-ing dentists. In its lowest position the seat is seventeen inches from thefloor ; in its highest, thirty-four inches, giving it a vertical range equal to thatof the Morrison Chair. The footstool is thirteen inches below the seat andis fixed to it The weight ot this Chair is about seventy pounds, and it is readily takenapart and packed in a small space (see opposite page). It is made of wood,strengthened with iron. The frame is of black walnut, oil-finished. The seatand back are of perforated wood, and the head-pad is upholstered in plush.26 The Ross Portable Dental Chair.
