Summary edit

Description
English: The Doctors Pond, Dunmow It is thought that the pond acquired its name from two local Doctors in the 18th Century who used the pond to breed leeches. The pond's other claim to fame is that Lionel Lukin (1742-1834), who it is claimed invented the lifeboat, made his first non-sinkable boat model in the pond.
