English: The Galashiels Braw Lads' Gathering This is early in the morning ceremonial ride with the Braw Lad and Braw Lass and attendants representing the town of Galashiels, leading a large mounted following down Tweed Road towards Netherdale. The Braw Lad is carrying the Burgh Flag that he received from the president of the gathering at the Burgh Chambers at 8-00am where he vows to return it "unsullied and untarnished" at 12 noon at the closing ceremony.
