Summary edit

Description
English: The Humber North Bank at Hessle, East Riding of Yorkshire, England.
Silty deposits are an enduring feature of the Humber, and the banks collect mud which is gradually colonised by coarse grasses and rushes. The mud makes good feeding for the waders. Further upstream where the Humber has cut through the wolds, stony deposits are found including "Devil's Toenails".
