English: The Kentish Oak Memorial Tree, Memorial Way, Tonge Mill Park The plaque with this tree reads "THE KENTISH OAK This Tree is dedicated to the memory of the men of the two famous Kentish Regiments. THE BUFFS (THE ROYAL EAST KENT REGIMENT) and THE QUEEN'S OWN ROYAL WEST KENT REGIMENT, who served and gave their lives for their country 1572-1961. Subsequent amalgamations saw the regiments' name change to THE QUEEN'S OWN BUFFS. This was erected by members of the Sittingbourne Branch of The Regimental Association of the Queen's Own Buffs. 2003"
