| Description | Views from the observation deck of the Peace/ Victory Tower of the Canadian Parliament buildings in Ottawa, Canada: this is a view from the other side, looking across the Ottawa River, towards the French Gatineau district. The building in the centre is the fabulous Museum of Civilization. I had covered that museum in great detail in my Nov. 2012 album. I did visit this year too, but was bitterly disappointed to note that over 50% of the museum had been closed for renovation, especially the most interesting parts about Canada's history. We were told tha these were not due to re-open until 2017. Oh well! (Ottawa, Canada, June 2015) |
