Summary edit

Description

An extension to the Luas Green Line at Cherrywood in south Co Dublin was officially opened this weekend.

The new 7.5km line cost €300m to build and is expected to add over two million passenger journeys a year to the tram network.

There are now nine new stops on the line.

They are at Central Park, Glencairn, The Gallops, Leopardstown Valley, Ballyogan Wood, Carrickmines, Laughanstown, Cherrywood and Brides Glen. There are also two ghost stations (they have been built but are not being used).
