English: The Nith Estuary The tide was evidently out and I was standing just below the high water mark on the muddy estuary. Signs warn of quicksands and the rapid tide. The small peak to the left is, I assume, Knockendoch to the north of Criffel. The picture was taken about quarter of an hour after sunset. |
