DescriptionThe Old Hall Bookshop, 32 Market Place, Brackley - geograph.org.uk - 287062.jpg |
English: The Old Hall Bookshop, 32 Market Place, Brackley Taken in 2003, this image shows the fine Georgian building at 32 Market Place, which has for the last 30 years been occupied by a traditional independent new and secondhand bookshop. Prior to that is was a private residence. Grade II listed, the Georgian frontage was built upon two earlier rubble-walled cottages. The interior features original wood panelling, stone-flagged floors and an original 18th century hand-carved stair case. The shop is open Monday to Saturday, so it is well-worth a visit to anyone with an interest in either architecture or books! See http://www.oldhallbooks.com for more information. |
