be true to the principles it symbolizes: Since the opening of school Bro: J. Frank Deaderick has re-sumed his studies in the University. We are delighted to haveBrother Deadrick with us again, and feel greatly strengthenedby his addition to the chapter. This makes our total member-ship at present number eight men. We believe there are too many fraternies here for the amountof material in the school. There are five, whereas the attend-ance would justify about three, not exceeding four at the outside:It is only a question of time when some chapter will have to giveup the ghost. The attendance this year is smaller than usual;consequently, there was a scramble for men on the part of the fra-ternities. Our policy has always been one of conservatism, butI do not think we ought to be too slow and indifferent aboutmeeting and cultivating the acquaintance of new men.
