| Description |
English: The Ridge, Parc Pale, New Forest. Looking out from the trees to the south of the B3056 Beaulieu Road towards The Ridge. The final section of the Lyndhurst Old Deer Park follows the course of the road (to the left towards Lyndhurst). One of the earthen banks is in shadow in the foreground, the other is on top of The Ridge on the horizon. The deer were rounded up and funnelled in (from the right) where they could easily be trapped in nets or shot. The motorbikes were just two of many hundreds returning home following a weekend event at the Beaulieu Estate. |
