English: The Southern Edge of Great Oaks Wood in Turvey Parish Great Oaks Wood is in the northern extremity of Turvey Parish. It is an ancient wood with many mature trees and on this fine spring morning had a carpet of bluebells and primroses. The bridleway passes along the southern edge of the wood which with the striking blackthorn blossom and a bit of imagination resembles a white cliff face dropping into a green sea! |
