English: The StrathNairn Railway Viaduct This graceful structure carries the railway south from Inverness. It was opened in November 1898 just months after its engineer,Murdoch Paterson, had died. It is 600 yards in length and has 29 arches,the central one crossing the River Nairn having a span of 100 feet and the remaining 28 with a span of 50 feet
