Figs. 53 andS4 shows a rear elevation of the high-tension switchboard andan outline diagram of connections for a two and four-feederstation, respectively. The 11,000-volt, three-conductor cablesfrom the power house enter the sub-stations approximately onthe basement floor level, and as such terminate underneath therotary floor in a cast-iron end bell or dividing box similar tothose used in the power house. The three separate conductorspass through these boxes without joints to the feeder isolatingswitches, thence through the feeder oil switches to the high-tension bus-bars on the gallery.
