This is one of a pair of watercolours showing the monument in morning sun and then in moonlight. This watercolour probably formed part of an album entitled 'VIEWS BY SEETA RAM FROM SECUNDRA TO AGRA, vol. IX' (Sotheby's, London, 9 July 1974, lot 263).
