Title |
The Town Crier, v.11, no.13, Mar. 25, 1916 |
||||||||||||||||||||
Description |
Page 1 features photograph of Anna Pavlova. Page 4 article "The University" discusses the inauguration of University President Henry Suzzallo. Photo of women hiking/snowshoeing above the snowline, near Rockdale, Washington in the Cascade Range, captioned "Not what you'd call 'easy going'." Rockdale was just south of Snoqualmie Pass, at the west portal of the Snoqualmie Tunnel. Presumably the "lodge" they are hiking toward is the Mountaineers Lodge in that area, built a few years earlier. Accompanying article by Lulie Nettleton, one of the women in the group. |
