English: The Town Hall and neighbouring buildings, Harwich The large building in the centre was built in 1864 as the Great Eastern Hotel, now the Town Hall. On its left first the Pier Hotel, which Pevsner considered jolly rather than showy, and left again the Angel Inn. To the right of the Town Hall is the modern Harbour House. This photograph was taken from the ferry to Esbjerg using a zoom lens, and the cranes at the Port of Felixstowe 3km away look enormous! |
